We are so excited to send out our very first Christmas card! Last year was just way too hectic since we got married at the end of November, then went on our honeymoon, then had one week of school before spending the weekend in Colorado for our second reception--with all that going on, I didn't even think about sending out a card until it was too late! But when I did think about it, I was sad that I didn't get around to it! I think it's such a fun tradition that I hope we always do, so I was determined to do it this year!
That's why I was so excited when my sister told me about this offer from Shutterfly! Check it out here: http://blog.shutterfly.com/5358/holiday2010-blog-submission-form/. I have seen a lot of Shutterfly products before and have ordered them for other and have always been very impressed! They are AWESOME!
Look here to see the Christmas options: http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-photo-cards
And their thank you cards are just as awesome!

First Anniversary
Yesterday, November 21, was Brian and mine first anniversary! We were hoping to do something fun on Saturday, but we barely had time to breath! I had to get up early Saturday morning to go to our Primary Program practice until 12:30, and Brian was already our running errands. So we met up and finished our errands (and bought a Christmas tree!), then headed home to get dressed to go to the temple. When we got back from the temple, we had about 10 minutes to change before heading to the Stake dance! We were in charge, so we had to get there early to help set up! And we didn't leave until 11:30 because we had to clean up afterwards. then Sunday, we didn't even get to sit together because I had to sit up front with my sunbeams for the program! But it was okay because the kids did GREAT! Then we got home and Brian left an hour later to go home teaching. So I took a nap! When Brian got home we finally had time to celebrate! We had a nice dinner of chicken roll-ups, rice, fruit, and sparkling cider. After dinner my AMAZING husband did all the dishes! After all of that, we set up our Christmas tree and decorated it, along with putting up the rest of our Christmas decorations! It was so much fun! I told Brian that this will have to be our anniversary tradition...putting up our Christmas tree! It was SO fun! We were listening to Christmas music and just having the best time! Then I put Christmas sugar cookies in the oven, and we ate them as we played Skip-Bo and Chinese Checkers! It was such a fun weekend!
And now we are looking forward to another fun weekend coming up! We are going to Christina and Clayton's for Thanksgiving! And Katelyn and Blair will be there too! We are so excited to see them, eat turkey, play Clue, play ping pong, play the Wii, and watch football! It will be so fun!

COOKIES!
I found a great and easy recipe for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies last week and I was planning on making them for when my sister's family came into town over the weekend, because my sister and I LOVE pumpkin things. They ended up not coming because her kids got sick, but since I already had the ingredients, I made them on Saturday night anyway (big mistake)! The recipe made 6 dozen! I had just a few that night, but the first one I ate was still too hot and kinda burned my tongue, so I didn't eat many more. But then Sunday came...I made a plate to give to Brian's family, and a plate to take to our friends from our ward, and Brian probably had five or six. Do the math...there was probably 10 on each plate we gave away, then the six that my husband ate, totaling 26. What happened to the rest?! I ate EVERY SINGLE ONE of them! That's 46 cookies that I ate between Saturday and Wednesday! Let's just say I won't be making those again any time soon! (Actually, I probably will because they were just SO good!) :)
P.S. Any of you who know Brian probably think this post is really strange, because most people know that Brian really loves cookies too! But he doesn't like pumpkin very much--he's just ok with it. So now I know what to make when I don't want to share! ;)

Motivations
I had two main motivations to start this blog. Number 1: My job right now can get pretty boring sometimes and so I look at blogs once in a while to in order to pass the time. I finally realized that instead of spending my time looking at other people's blogs when I could start one of my own! Number 2: I do a lot of random things, fun things, exciting things, and lots of other types of things that I want to remember! I think this blog will be a good way to document and record everything!
So here it goes!
